Divine Mercy
In 1931, our Lord appeared to St Faustina Kowalska in a vision. She saw Jesus clothed in a white garment with His right hand raised in blessing. His left hand was touching His garment in the area of the Heart, from where two large rays came forth, one red and the other pale.
The red stands for the blood which is the life of souls. The image represents the graces of Divine Mercy poured out upon the world, especially through Baptism and the Eucharist.
We are invited to pray the Chaplet of Mercy, especially at 3 pm, the hour of Jesus' death on the cross. The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy is a Christian devotion to the Divine Mercy, based on the Christological apparitions of Jesus reported by Saint Faustina.
This is hour of great mercy for the whole world. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of me in virtue of my passion.
